Greg “Big Papa Binns” is a one-man-band from Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he resides in a century old log cabin nestled deep in the Ouachita Mountains.  He plays a heavy, foot stompin’  blues, borrowing from the past but making it his own with a modern edge and looking much like a mad juggler while he plays his hypnotic beat with his feet, hitting cymbals with his hands, playing his guitar, and howling out his sad lonesome songs with complete abandon. He has worked throughout the Mississippi Delta for the last decade, playing juke joints, festivals, and busking on street corners honing his skills. Big Papa Binns also plays in a duo with his son Zakk Binns, billed as Zakk and Big Papa Binns.

Big Papa was a protege of the late, great CeDell Davis (Fat Possum Records), CeDell was the last of the original Delta Blues Singers. Big Papa Binns toured the world, and recorded two records with Mr. Davis, working and touring with musicians such as the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Duff McKagan (Guns and Roses), Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees)  Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc.).
